If you absolutely must have the biggest truck on your block, and money is no object, Ironhide ($81,062) is your truck. Forget Hummer H1s, heavy-duty pickups and even small dump trucks—this pickup based on a GMC Topkick C4500 chassis-cab outsizes them all.

Built by Monroe Truck Equipment, Ironhide takes on the persona—if not the actual transmutation ability—of the Autobot pickup of the same name in the Transformers movie now in theaters. The truck boasts the same tough appearance as the movie character, including 20-inch, black-painted aluminum wheels (fitted with ginormous 40-inch tires), chrome big-rig-style vertical exhaust stacks, stainless-steel step tubes, black powder-coated front and rear bumpers and an attention-getting Autobot logo on the tailgate.

The truck bed is a standard, full-length, dual-wheel box with composite flared fenders. Customization options inside the cab include special air-supported front captain’s chairs, rear reclining bucket seats and an entertainment system with a 15-inch video screen.

Under the hood, Ironhide comes with either an 8.1-liter, 325-hp, 450-lb-ft V8, or a 6.6-liter, 330-hp, 620-lb-ft Duramax diesel. The transmission is a six-speed Allison automatic.

What’s all that add up to? With a curb weight pushing 10,000 pounds, a 16,000-pound tow rating and the ability to carry up to 5500 pounds, this is one huge hauler. Most surprising is that Ironhide is truly nimble and easy to drive, despite its intimidating size. For those who haul huge stuff—giant Airstreams, race-car and horse trailers—this is beyond heavy-duty. This is your truck.
